ontheheel
you cant beat home prices in texas. in 91, when my parents built their house, it is like 4,800 sq feet, well, i don't remember what it was before we added on. anyway, it was 260,000. when i was driving through pasadena last fall i asked my cousin what home prices were like for the neigborhood we were driving through. little houses no more than 2000 sq feet she said were going for around 800,000 now, there are places like that in texas. on the whole, however, land and housing is cheap.
