Seka99
Hi all. I've got a set of Volvo Canistos (great looking wheel) which are 17" X 7.5 and of course they don't fit correctly. The Canistos offset is 38mm and the stock wheel on the S70 is 43mm so I will need to get spacers for installation. Who is a good source for those? Will I need longer Lug Bolts? Second issue is with the tire width: I'm pretty sure even with the increased offset created with the spacers the wider 7.5" Cannistos will rub the wheel well during hard turning. Thoughts anyone?Vance
Jesus
Canistos fit the S70 and 850 just fine without spacers, lot's of people on here using them. 225/45/17 or 215/45/17 are popular tire sizes for that wheel.

Big Will
Is there really a difference in offset on the Canistos?
Black Betty
i have no idea but not enough to rub on an
Seka99
I installed one on the front and cranked the wheel over and it is making contact with the plastic wheel well liner. The wheel has a 225 tire on it. Will a 215 fit on the 7.5" Canisto and would that make a difference? I agree though it looks really good on the car. My goal is to install a R bumper cover on the car and with Canistos it should look better than the stock S70.Vance
Jesus
Just stop cranking the wheel all the way. Don't worry, you'll get used to the slightly wider turning radius. My wheels are the exact same size and I've been rocking them for like two years now.Or get tiny wheels that dont rub on full lock and get laughed at. Make sure you get the 7.5 though, they come as a 7 too. I have to say that Federal makes a great tire. You should really look into it. You'll love it. Let's see some pictures when all this is done. Good Luck.

Of course you have to keep in mind the size of the 302mm brakes and get corresponding rims. Also, the xc90 rim will fit, but hubcentric rings will be needed. In addition, the new s40 and c70 rims will fit x70/850s as long as you get the centers bored out etc. The world is yours when it comes to mixing and matching volvo rims on your volvo 215/45/17 would be a good choice for a tire size as well, and it doesn't rub at full lock. Seka99
They are 225/45/17s on the wheel. They are a pretty cheap no name brand that came on the rims. They gotta go, any suggestions?Vance
the ünderstüdy
Cut the inner fender liner where it rubs, thats what I did with my pegs and they dont rub anymore LOL. Get use to turn around without full lock, its not a big deal. Its just a fender liner nothing can hurt the tire
