betterthingstodo
I've got a CEL P0440 EVAP Emission Control System Malifunction so I'm looking around for a vacuum leak and I see this. It's right below my battery and I'm wondering if there should be something attached to the white nipple. I hate haters
It's for your cruise control. Nothing should be attached to the white nipple.DZI've got a CEL P0440 EVAP Emission Control System Malifunction so I'm looking around for a vacuum leak and I see this. It's right below my battery and I'm wondering if there should be something attached to the white nipple. CEL stayed off, problem solved.I tried that, except for erasing the code. I may give that a shot as it seems you can chase this problem around unless you find an obvious problem. Abram
I'm pretty sure I got that code when my SAS valve failed a month or two ago (could be wrong though). Anyways I replaced the valve, cleared the code and all is well. The valve was a little pricey, but only took 10 minutes to change. Search for SAS valve and you can learn how to check it. If it is the valve I was told by the knowledgeable folks on this board that you need to replace it in a timely fashion or you'll fry your air pump. Hope that helps.
