hgray14
When I turn my car on the fan comes on full blast out of all the vents. No matter what setting I put it on for fan and/or vents nothing seems to stop it from blowing. Is this just a matter of replacing the control unit?thanksHouston
Ozark Lee
Do you have the manual climate control unit or the electronic version? The electronic unit has the temperature settings in degrees while the manual unit has graduated width red bars. If it says AUT any where on the unit it is electronic....Lee
hgray14
My is electronic. I pulled it out and swapped it with one from my parts car, a 1995 850 Turbo, and now everything is working fine.thanksHouston
MrWinkey
Hope the old unit wasn't set to AUT?

They tend to over heat at times and short out.
hgray14
Hope the old unit wasn't set to AUT?Ya, I thought about that as I was removing all the switching units out of that parts car. Since I only needs to roll in order to get up onto the towing flatbed I am not too worried but did think it would be funny if the next time I turned the car on I couldn't get the fan off because it no longer had a control unit. You guys are always thinking ahead.Houston
