Volvo Virgin
Just like it says. I'm chasing around an intermittent misfiring in my #5 cylinder. Figure swapping out a coil for another one might get me a clue. PM me if you have a spare one lying around you would like to unload.

PM me if you have a spare one lying around you would like to unload.Just swap one from another cylinder to #5 and move #5 to that cylinder, if the misfire code moves the coil is your issue.Pull the rubber boot back around the base of the coil, if you see hair line cracks it's bad or will be very soon.Buy a new one, they are not that much money. All of them are cracking by now.

Once the car heats up it's fine so that lead me to suspect plugs as opposed to an arcing scenario. Don't have much time to mess with it these days tho. Still looking. 94850tx
Well once it heats up the plastic expands and the cracks go away to an extent.Usually when we changed them at the dealer we'd do the coil and plugs together.
Volvo Virgin
Thanks man! I will have to get around to replacing all of them eventually, but just trying to avoid spending $250-$300 at this time. Also just don't really have the time to take the car back and forth to have the codes read once I switch the coil packs around to see what cylinde is misfiring. Once again, appreciate the insight tho.
