hgray14
I have been under four out of my five Volvos this past weekend and noticed something odd.My 1995 850 Turbo (Pewter) and 1995 850 T-5R #1 both have a bend towards the ends of the bar. Not a bend as if they have been damaged but as if they were made that way. My 1995 850 Turbo (Gray) and 1995 850 T-5R #2 both have straight bars (although the Turbo bar has broken its weld on the bottom bolt hole bracket on the passenger side). What is the difference? I know that they sell aftermarket rear bars for my Datsun 240Z but do they sell them for Volvo 850s and if so, who sells them? I am assuming the straight ones would be the aftermarket but I might just be seeing two different version of a factory bar.I did run a search but came up with nothing about rear anti-sway bars of any help. (I also searched without the "anti")thanksHouston
Fudge_Brownie
www.ipd.comPopular seller for the swaybars, and while I don't believe their site mentions it specifically, you can place special orders for separate front and rear bars. hgray14
Thanks, I didn't even see that their kit is both a front and rear bar. ...by the way, it is www.ipdusa.com , everyone seems to post that wrong. So, that picture on their website isn't at all what their rear bar looks like...it couldn't be since that wouldn't work with a 1995 850 Turbo. I am going to assume that what I see on two of my cars (straight rear bars instead of ones with a bend towards each end) is the aftermarket IPD rear bar. If someone who has these can confirm that I would appreciate it.Also, when I was trying to remove my rear bar I almost stripped a nut before giving up. Which freakin' nut on the drivers side comes off to take the bar off? There are four or five over on that side but I can't figure what is attached to what.thanksHouston
