leurven
Spent an hour driving around Donner Lake the other day up to Sugarbowl ski resort. I caught the light a little late but figured I'd post anyway. Journey is about 25 minutes each way along some really nice twisty roads. The Allroad handles nicely and having shift buttons on the steering wheel makes it all the more fun.

leurven
i wish xc70's were that cool.I saw a picture once of a 2001+ XC70 in black with 18" silver pegs. It was going offroad at the time and I gotta say it was truely beautiful! Really got me into getting a taller car. I was even debating an XC in black to do something similar with. ProjectT-5R
I went through there once in the Ariel Atom. It was 19 degrees and snowing, and I still loved it. Some magnificently fun roads to drive in the area, and beautiful scenery. Consider yourself luck everyday that you get to be around it all the time.Yeah I dont spell well... especially when typing quickly. Thanks :)

flyfishing3
This bridge is on the Old Donner Pass Highway. It has a spectacular view of Donner Lake and Donner Pass on PA I-80. A bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge (Old Hwy 40 at Donner Summit, Truckee) on Saturday when two cars also crossing the bridge scared the bear into jumping over the edge of the bridge. Somehow the bear caught the ledge and was able to pull itself to safety. Authorities decided that nothing could be done to help Saturday night so they returned Sunday morning to find the bear sound asleep on the ledge. After securing a net under the bridge the bear was tranquilized, fell into the net, lowered, then woke up and walked out of the net. There is a moral to this story you know; this old bear made a wrong move and found he was hanging by his nails. Somehow he was able to pull himself up onto the ledge where he saw he was in a very bad, impossible situation and what did he do? Yep, he took a nap and sure enough the situation took care of itself while he was asleep. The moral is that when confronted with a bad situation sometimes the best solution is to take a nap. ..
