The Poi
Project: Grafting 850R cover onto the 960. Problem: I have this old and busted 850R bumper thats polyurethane (marked >PUR<). That's all fine and good, I'm under the impression my 960 bumper is also PUR (although recent events require me to pull that apart and check). My dad recently bought a maybe-brand-new normal 850 bumper. It's a Volvo part, but it's polypropylene/epdm (>PP-EPDM< , obviously)! My original intention was to buy a bumper from vivaperformance, but they have the listed as "ABS", which I'm really suspect of, assuming its a Volvo part, and even if it isn't, that's an awfully rigid plastic to make a bumper cover out of. So firstly, does anyone know what VP bumpers are really made out of? Is it an aftermarket non-Volvo part that isn't a flexible plastic? Are all new VOlvo bumpers pp/epdm? Cause that would suck. The Poi
Alright, talked to him a couple days ago. They're genuine Volvo from the dealer, but he's not sure what plastic they are. So hey, anyone with a new bumper wanna stick their head under their car and check? The label is cast into the plastic near the drivers side, close to the bottom.
