FastWagon95
What did you use for the intake? Will the stock 850 intake hose fit? I've ordered all the oil and coolant lines listed in a previous thread and I have the top intercooler pipe from a S60R to seal it. I know Johann said the water pipe at the back of the engine had to be swapped the clear the compressor on the K24 so I have that as well. Any info on the swap will be great,Thanks,Taylor
Elliot
The stock intake pipe wont fit.I used a 90 degree samco elbow onto the compressor, and another onto the aitbox, conected with a straight ally pipe. For the crank breather i run that into a catch tank and then vent to air, getting rid of the fitting in the intake pipe. The s60r oil feed line will also need to be re bent slightly to clear the oil squiters on the back of the block. One last thing, you will also need to turn up a fitting for the comp outlet if you want to use you stock intercooler plumbing as the k24 uses v band.To be honest i would fit a 19t lol,the gains are'nt that great,i have had bigger wheels put into the k24 and its now alot lot beter! TorqueSteer
For the crank breather i run that into a catch tank and then vent to air, getting rid of the fitting in the intake pipe.Using this method, are you getting enough force to pull the crankcase gasses out of the crankcase?, since you eliminated the source of vaccum to pull them.Im venting my pcv to the atmosphere as well, but with no catch can, just a road draft tube that uses a venturi while the car is moving to pull any gasses out. I wanted to put a catch can inline, but wasnt sure if id get enough pull.
Elliot
I ran it like yours for a bit but did a trackday, and it blew oil out in one section. It ran down a steep hill with a verd hard braking zone then onto a straight,i think what happen was that the oil surged into the std catch tank filled it up then blew it out the breather before it had a chance to drain into the block. With the catch tank on i have'nt noticed it being any diffent to dumping straight to air,it still dumps the gasses to air but goes into the catch can first.I may help it out by routing it back into the intake but i was trying to avoid doing that.
