Hellas850 T-5
As I mentioned in another topic I faced some problems with the idle, all after the piping and the 960 TB installation.I made some modifications with the Idle Control Valve. Here are some pictures.I made another adapter for the hose of the valve near the TB,with smaller inner diameter. The old one will take the BOV.The same with a better view.I also changed the valve with another cleaned-used one. Many clamps...And the Bov will stay there for a while.I finally ordered the turbo, tomorrow I will send the money for the ecu and the injectors, and then brakes-exhaust....and numbers!! Hellas850 T-5
So here we are again, the turbo arrived since last thursday, but today I received it.The date is wrong on the photosGT3071R from ATP.Someone told me to open the hole of the wastegate port,is it better or not?And I also have to open a hole on the compressor for the hose of the overboost valve. lookforjoe
So here we are again, the turbo arrived since last thursday, but today I received it.The date is wrong on the photosGT3071R from ATP.g]Someone told me to open the hole of the wastegate port,is it better or not?And I also have to open a hole on the compressor for the hose of the overboost valve.Dang!Very Nice! What sort of lag do you expect with that sucka? What rpm does it come on strong? How much of an offset from stock does that WG/vBand create? Will you have to angle the DP more to get it back where it needs to be?How much did the turbo, WG & adaptors cost all together?I may end up going this route, I'm not satisfied with the output of my 19T. Hellas850 T-5
Hello Hussein, how are you?Well the only thing that I can answer for now is the price,1930 USD(shipping incl.)and that I don't believe that I will have too much lag because I took the smaller exhaust housing 0.63 A/R.About the catch can,you asked me for infos but I searched and it is not available anymore. lookforjoe
Open up the WG port as much as you can to avoid boost creep.enlarge the orifice in the turbo housing? They don't already machine them to a close tolerance? How much latitude for enlargement does it have?
johnloves850's
if you have a stock or aftermarket wastegate that's in good condition set to a few psi you shouldn't have boost creep problems, depending on how much boost you runidk, in my experience, boost creep comes with auxiliary boost controllers, mbc's, ebc's ect. ect.when i say auxiliary i mean like outside of the turbo, i'm not really sure of a good word to use for that hadone with my 2 cents lol
Hellas850 T-5
Due to some repairs to my garage's entrance I left the car in the workshop and did some more repairs-modifications.I placed the oil temp. sensor on the oil sump,to have a better reading than before. Here is my car and another 850 we bought some months ago.I had to change the front disc brakes immediately so I ordered a pair of TAR OX G88 302mm from PFS.And the brackets from my dealer.Me...while repairing the calipers. The one side is complete. My budget can handle this brake kit for now.Very nice visual result. Here is the route of the sensor's cable.Next week I am leaving for 5 days vacation with my girlfriend,so I had to prepare the car for this trip. Thanks for watching.
