Tranny Axle Seals, Automatic, Spraying All Over

Hey all

Apparently my oil leak was not related to cam seals. I'm sure some of it was but the amount of fluid that was sprayed all over the firewall, frame rail and under side of the turbo was in large amounts. It would only drip 2-3 times while parked.

This is what it looked like before I cleaned.

I'm surprised that it could spray high up. Kinda confusing when you see oil that high.

After Gunking and washing all the oil and dirt residue off I took it for a drive and when I came back I got this.

This directly imposes that my Tranny needs a flush including new AXLE seals.

I'm assuming that these can be popped out using a bearing puller and then tapped back in place?

how about just pull them out by hand

I have pulled axles out and they have fallen out so its very easy

the only two that are a bit hard to get out are the tranny seal and the engine one.

Agree, super easy.

Put out the axle, pry out the old seal with a screw driver. tape the new seal in use the old seal as a cushion. Take the time to make sure new seal sits properly before tapping it further.

With FWD, it's really a breeze.

yea I did the driver side axle not the seal though, so it's gonna be with the seal this time on the passenger side.
