Guest Guest_Driver850_*
how well do the speaker baffles improve bass response? these are what im referring too: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-550RMd6rsx5/c...wm=fa&I=237XT52right now i have infinity kappas in my doors. my doors are covered in dynamat. yet, when i turn up the bass, my speakers vibrate the inside of the door causing the speaker grills to vibrate, thus producing a crappy sound. will the baffles solve my problem or should i buy different speakers? i've been told that kappa's aren't the best for bass, am i correct with this assumption? if so, would the infinity basslink be a good investment? Obviously the more bass, the more vibration. The thing to do is, find all your vibration/rattles and eliminate them. Clear RTV silicone sealant will work well, if you have two peices of something rubbing together. Weatherstipping has worked for me in the past as well. Bing_0
what those baffles do is give you an enclsoure behind the speaker so it can produce better a nd more controlled midbass, but if you issue is with rattles, waht you need to do is dampen your doors, i think I have a post up there pinned about this issue.b
Jamaica2G
make sure that not just your steel door, but also where the door panel touches the door is covered too. I had a bit of that problem with my speakers when I put them in and I ended up buying foam baffles to put behind the speakers. The sound improved significantly. Also, if you don't have a stock setup, tune the frequency a bit higher on the amp - maybe your door speakers are trying to hit 60 hertz and lowerAdrian
