turbormonkey
Hi guys, how much should I be looking to spend on 850r seats in very good condition. I have always wanted to upgrade and want to know what a fair price is. thanks
FINN
Not sure on price but it could be cheaper just to buy the skins for the seats.
Schwein
Hi guys, how much should I be looking to spend on 850r seats in very good condition. I have always wanted to upgrade and want to know what a fair price is. thanksfrom what i can remember the New skins from the factory were like 600+ per seat maybe even more... you would be better off looking and looking then looking some more for a low milage 850R with a wrecked body and good seats. or just suck it up and buy some aftermarket racing seats like corbau or Recaro... Oreo931
I saw a complete R interior sell for $1100 on turbobricks. That was for EVERYTHING though. I would expect to pay at least $600 for used front and rear seats.

prasamin
for a complete set in good shape....$800 maybe.or, you can do what I did, and go to an auto upholstery place, and get them custom done for $800, including a suede headliner. HoustonT5-R
I've got another question pertaining to upgrading the seats. Will the seat foam from an '04+ R fit underneath the skins of a 95-97 R? Would you see the extra bolstering from the '04+ or would the foam just get flattened from the older model skins? Jigga
The foam is actually alot bigger on the 96-97R and has more a buckety feel to it. If you just replaced the skins, it will look deflated and crappy, you will have to get the foam as well to make it look right. They are much more comfy then they turbo seats or even the 95 T-5R seats.
JVC
What kind of safety issues are there with replacing a P2's seats/seat with a Racing Seat? Would WHIPS become ineffective and thus not be worth putting racing seats in if you lose safety that Volvo has so generously built in. This is all assuming that brackets could be made and the seats could be fit, what are reasons that would stop one from putting a racing seat in a P2?Sorry for the slight threadjack, I just figured it wasn't worth making a new thread.-John

JVC
It was just an idea, I figured I'd be better off asking then doing something totally not worth it, which is exactly what putting racing seats in my S80 would be.
Chilled man
I would take your seats to a shop and have them rewrap them all for less then what you would spend for used seats.
