It made the exhaust smell like paint thinner, and due to the sharp rise in costs of the stuff, it made no sense to use it anymore. Methanol is my current choice for octane enhancement. I just thought that since toluene is (C7H8), there is nothing in the exhaust to harm your sensors and cat.edit: Toluene is $6/gallon, and with the price of gas nowadays, it might help. Do some research into how it affects fuel lines and seals though. There was a post here that gave a pointer to mix some Marvel Mystery oil into the mix because of lost lubrication.
