Exactly, her p[oor little legs are bruised up and inside of her thighs. DOesnt have much cushion on the seat. She has wrecked a few times, She just gets back up, hops on again. weighs exactly the same as she does. 32 LBS. BUt she always wears, jeans, long sleaves, hightop shoes, gloves and that expensive little HJC Helmet on her head. SHe said she is ready to race me on my Buell XB12 which she has been riding with me for quite a while now. SHe usually sits in front of me. gallery_11339_211_7135.jpg

let her drive. Not a 5 for a car, but pretty soon after that. My parents taught me how to drive at a young age (way before it was legal). Not that i didnt do stupid ass shit when i was a teen though, even with driving experience (btw abs doesnt work in reverse on some cars lol).

agreed. my dad let me drive a car when I was like 10 -- by myself, just turning it around in the driveway and stuff. parking reversing etc is 2nd nature to me.

I'm thinking about seeing if I can afford buying a small bike to learn on. I've ridden a dirt bike a few times, but it wasn't for more than a few minutes. I was thinking a smaller ninja? Chad, seeing as you are pretty knowledgeable about buying bikes for newbies, what would you recommend?

well, i dont have experience teaching anyone but anything under 600 is just fine for a beginner. 250, is great, and for all of you who think its not enough your gonna kill yerself! Honda has a great bike out in that range, 125, sporty and great bike for most. If your a bit older 25+ then go for the 600, but i warn you. Your gonna drop your bike, its 100% and not just once! I bailed doing very little in shorts and tshirt when i was just under 15 on pavement in florida.

I really like my Buell. Not the fastest thng out there. Even though it is a 1200cc i still get leeft by 600cc Japanese bikes. Mine rides kind of like a dirt bike. More upright. Nothinig like a Japanese bike. I also have a 98 Suzuki TL1000. THe last bike i had befor my buell was a GPZ750 turbo about 8 years ago. Really want to find another one of those someday.

Reall epends on what you want and what is comfortable to you. If you just want to learn. Find an older shadow or similar. More of a cruiser upright ride. Can find them cheap, un dera grand easy. Wreck it you aare not out much. Just dont get hurt. You will grow out of a 600 fast. But who cares you are learning. Remember, watch out for everyone else because they WILL not look out for you or see you majority of the time. Ride with the fear of god in you all the time! Dont get cocky. Always wear long pants, long sleeves, jacket, leather is best, gloves and boots. Always, always always! Take a riding safety course. Usually easy to find anywhere and many times they have bikes you can use. My wife rides my Buell all the tme. RIdes good but i am still making her take a safety course next month at my Local Harley Dealer. They will provide New Buell Blasts to use. Blast is same as my Bike. just 500cc and one cylinder.

BTW a blast would be a good starter bike. Great gas mileage too. But i would get at least an XB9
