TBM
Charcoal FTW Are they dirty are they clean you cant tell If you're gonna have brake dust-colored rims, then save your money on the wheel paint -- just don't wash the wheels and they're gonna look like yours. ;)
DouginDenver
WTF are you crazy? Simple green?? do not use that crap on rims.. You will wear your clearcoat right off.. Same with purple power all that stuff. Meguires Hot rims bright pink bottle it is very gentle and works. Use a soft detail brush rub it around and hose it off. I promise no one has cleaner rims than me so I know what i am talking about. The inside and outside of my rims are always clean. +1. Simple Green will really mess up the clear coat. Chilled man
+1. Simple Green will really mess up the clear coat. How long are you letting the simple green sit all day or what ? you can use simple green on every inch of your car with out any problems as long as you wash it off in a reasonable amount of time. I use that or the purple power or a mixture of both
exexpat
Simple Green is just fine. So gentle and non-toxic, you can drink it. Some things will dry out your finish or damage clearcoat, but Simple Green shouldn't.
firepuma
Every year I buff my wheels (pegs) with a cleaner wax afterr wiping down with 50/50 split water/simple green then seal them with a regular wax. They don't collect dust all summer this way, at least nothing that a regular garden hose won't wash clean.
