But I was going to do the usual rebuild and get it going again, and by the time I was 16 I'd have a badass car. This one was blue, but in great rustless shape, but the paint needed a lot of buffing. The guy wanted $800, I went down to the shop with my mom, and it was gone. After sitting there since we moved here. It was at a paint and body shop next to my friends house. It was either a 77 or 78 Cobra II. This one was $1300, sitting in front of a hobby shop. It ran fine, and looked good. there was no rust. But my parents wouldn't let me get it, because it was a Pinto. Later my friends friend was selling a 88 RX-7 10th Anniversary edition for $400, because he badly wanted a Jeep and had to get rid of it first. It was white, and missing some of the paint on the front bumper. The turbo motor was also rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago at the time, papers proving it. I should probably be glad I didn't buy it, because he beat the hell out of it when he took me for a test drive in it. I was still 15. My dad said no, because it was a sports car and it wouldn't make a good first car.Then came the 93 850 for $250 that was originally destined for the junkyard. It took $500 more to get it on the road, but it was my dad paid for the car and the initial costs to get it on the road. Then it would be up to me to pay for everything else.
