an 89+ Saab 900...I loved the quirky styling, I went so far as to research Saabs and it seemed that they were time bombs for issues.

Then my dad found my first 245 on Craigslist (blue '90 automatic) My brother had an '86 245 and I liked it...I had the '90 one for about a year and then decided that the MPGs weren't good enough and bought my current car...a fun '88 245 manual...and while the odometer was working I calculated 25mpg on California gas, mixed city/highway, 5mpg better than the automatic...AND I drove it harder. I can't see getting rid of this white one anytime soon.

I was very close to having a dark blue 86ish jetta turbo diesel. Me and dad rebuild the motor and everything, but then we sold it and he surprised me with a na s70, two years after that my car came into the dealer where we work with bent valves, and the rest is history

Was ready to sign papers and hand over a check on a 1995 Olive Green Z-28 Camaro, 65k on it, beautifully clean, all the options. T-tops, power seats, etc. The only one thing I could find wrong was the fact it was an auto. Problem was, the loan was coming through my mom. She refused to sign on a "rwd gas gussling v8 sports car" She also listed many other reasons, which were mostly her own personal reasons. To this day, I still resent the fact that she refused considering I was paying for it. I don't care if it was a whitetrash cop-magnet redneck winter-deathtrap. Basically, I wanted to do something stupid and make a choice on my gut instead of the practical choice. I can drive a camery when I'm 40.

My first car was almost a 1970 El Camino SS...

However, Dad thought I wasn't ready for the power of a 454, so my first car was a 1975 Corolla... in shit brown. But hey, it had a four speed, and was rwd. :)

Luckily my SECOND car was the El Camino. B)

sob... poor girl's strut mounts ended up poking through the rear deck... was too much rust after sitting for 3 years. real nice light blue color, Chrome was still purrrfect. Nothing will ever replace it... 247k on the motor and the massive bodywork was too much to overcome.

(it was 1991 and i dont have any pictures of it scanned...)

Lucky for me i've a friend with a modded 73, he swapped out the rear axle and tranny with one from a 83 325i, bored out to 2.2, custom exhaust and fully restored interior. Damn near insane car. Driving it makes me giggle uncontrollably.

Now if i can just get my hands on my uncle's 72 3.0csi it might relieve some of the pain.

I always loved the 1800s and 2002s, They were the rich kids hot rods while we just tuned VW's

My neighbor has one and even though its a west coaster, they really love to rust.

Sorry you couldn't keep it.
