But it sounds to me like you're well on your way to a life of artistic martyrdom. Don't take everything so personally. Oh, and I always thought you attended a school to learn something not previously known to you. Are you done there yet? Maybe you have a few more things to learn... I've got tons of things left to learn, and I've been doing art for 30 years.For pretty much anything once you publish it, magazine, internet, blog, school paper whatever, is considered conception of the idea. Photography and art are a little different but the gist is the same. I do not have to water market every volvospeed image to be able to defend it. I have in fact handed a few people their asses over the years on using images from the site without permission and they are not watermarked...So you're saying that if I found a photo online, say of the famous BTCC car, then loaded it up in Illustrator and ran Live Trace on it... calling it my own work might be construed as copyright infringement? Have her explain to you what a vector image is, and if she knows what it is, how to do it. mmetz Posted May 6, 2008 Report Share Posted May 6, 2008 (edited) wow, i was really hoping this community would step back and look at these posters artistically. i put a good 20 hours into mine because i was expecting the same from the other contestants. these were suppose to be displayed in malls or at least that was the idea behind making them. And in the spirit of making professional posters i also thought that implied copyright laws. contrary to popular belief pulling pictures off google and using them is considered copyright infringement. im not even gonna spend my time tearing apart whats wrong with # 8 because im just too angry. i guess i should have expected this from a community who up load pictures with boarders and call them artistic and tell everyone to lower and put pegs on their car and tell people who try different things that their cars are ugly and they should change it (black eyebrows on silver car ring a bell?) well congrats to number 8 for earning 150 dollars from 15 minutes worth of work. GG graphic design. i guess people really are suckers for B&W with a color scheme on top. /end rant p.s. i apologize for any feeling hurt or people offended im just tried of being undercut by photochopped pictures and work. good day and good luck for the rest of the competitionMGaglionejust curious ... but what poster did ^^that guy ^^ do?
