?.. there should be one. 4 out of 5 non-bolt holes in the back of the volvo wheels have protruding pins, the 5th empty hole is where the rotor guide pin should go..

agreed it so easy I never had nuts and dont want them I agree with ,,,,, about losing the nuts all the time

Yup.

However, some wheels (aftermarket) require the removal of that guide pin and that can get annoying fast.

I ordered mine from Kaplhenke, but I wouldn't order from them again. they sent me two defective studs, and then he was trying to tell me that I wasn't installing them correctly. I mean, if they don't thread in with a normal amount of force, then they are bad...i'm not going to sit there for an hour and force them into my hubs.

then i said that I wanted two new ones, and I would send the defective, unused ones back, and he said he really didn't want to do it since he had already lost money on making the studs and doing a group buy on them. how the hell is that my fault....you send me defective studs, so you better replace them, at your cost, even if it's out of your pocket....i could care less.

well, after about 6 months, we got the clearance to send the defective ones back, and then get two new ones, although I haven't seen the new ones personally. If I find that he sent me the same defective ones again, then I am going after him. It's just a few bucks, but for some reason, I just have my doubts that he sent me actual replacements.....I hope he was man enough to do it right though.

That Sucks Pras...

I have had a positive experience with them when we did the GB. All the Studs Went in and Stayed in (With LocTite Red)

I only had one issue a few months later, where one stud broke (Which was a PITA to try and remove with heat, drillouts etc., and ended up replacing the entire hub) and Kaplhenke sent me my replacement studs at my cost because I realized that I had not torqued the nuts enough. Ben was courteous to investigate and see why the stud broke in the first place.

Since the replacement, I havent had any problems with them.

You forgot to mention the GB price was also 4x the cost of what everyone else is selling studs for.

I would go with the stud conversion. Lift or no lift I highly recommend them especially if you need good wheel locks.

Had no issues with the installation and they have worked great.

Pras, hope you get the new ones asap!!!!

oh, in that case, just break of the top of that guide pin. which happened to one of mine (sometimes... those paid mechanics :) ) hehehe. actually just becomes kinda like a 10mm nut, worked just fine.

i forgot wtf aaron was trying to do there...im assuming that was when pras was down here.

those were the two studs that were defective. Kaplhenke was trying to tell me that I was installing them incorrectly, or that my hubs were bad lol.....well fellas, those pictures prove that indeed, the studs were, to say the least, defective and not anywhere near the right thread pitch.....we tried those two studs in multiple bolt holes on my hubs, but they didn't work.....they Aaron thought we'd try to clean the threads, but that wasn't it either.

lol....those were the days.

lesson: customer is always right, no matter how much money the company is losing on their product.

yup, gotta be sure when you're calling out a Vendor on VS....they tend to think the customer is screwing up most of the time.....cough cough VMS who still owes me $1500.

Terry said that VMS was bankrupt....funny how they still have the website up and are taking orders.

Ben better have fixed my stud issue....will find out when I get home, otherwise I'm going back to my extended lugs, and calling Kaplhenke out all over VS and TB.
