Recommended Posts

I don't know if thus should be in performance buit anyway, I need help taking of the old CBV to install the blanking plate for my BOV. Any tips that someone can recommend to me. It seems like I can onle get to the top bolt and maybe the one on the side towards the engine. Please don't tell me I have take the turbo off, that would be such a pain.

No you dont have to remove the turbo! You get two of them from the top which is pretty hard if you have med to large hands, and the last one you get from the bottom. It hard to get the bolts in the first few trys, but no turbo removal.

Just replaced the CBV diaphram a few days ago. This was a beotch! Do a search "diaphram" many threads with photos to help. I was able to remove and reinstall all 3 bolts from standing by the drivers fender. I used an opened end 10 mil, with a ratcheting closed end. Need to work mostly on feel for the bottom bolt. Wear gloves to keep hands clean, and put something over the turbo like saran wrap so you do not drop a bolt into it when reinstalling. Good luck

No need to remove the turbo. Just be patient.
