bmx9854
I am looking to buy a new or reman long block. I have seen them on eBay for $2400 which is a pretty good price, i think? Anyway I wanted to put in H-beam connecting rods and don't want to take apart a motor thats already put together and I don't want to go through VMS for obvious reasons. How much do you think a machine shop would charge for pressing in wrist pins, thats about the only thing that I don't have the tools for. Are there any other companies that put together long blocks for a decent price that wouldn't mind putting in other connecting rods? Thanks

socal850tuner
yea you don't typically press the wrist pins. They slide in and you put an alice clip over it to keep it in place. You would need a piston ring compressor though. And those you can rent at pep boys or watever. Or buy them at sears or pep boys.
