cmurphy2266
I have a 2001 S60 T5 Manual, and lately I've been having a problem with the clutch on cold starts. This only happens when I go into 1st 2nd or 3rd the first time, and does not happen at all after that. When I release the clutch (giving it plenty of gas), the car jerks back and forth. This isn't driver error, since it doesn't happen after the 1 time i go through the gears. I can drive a stick pretty good. The clutch has only a couple thousand miles on it. My only thought now is that the tranny fuild is a little low, but the car just came from the dealer about a month ago, so all the fuilds and such were topped off. I haven't checked though. Any advice would be great! Thank You-Cory

cmurphy2266
This is my first stick, and when I told my friend this, he said it was normal for the tranny to feel jerky when it is cold.
VTT5
This is happening after the clutch is fully released, or during release? If after fully released, it's a bit like what I was experiencing. I replaced the plugs and the TCV/BCS and it went away. Sorry to say, since I did them at the same time, I don't know which was the magic bullet. cmurphy2266
It happens after I release the clutch. Thanks for the advice, I'll try both.
