JMK33
Quick question...is it bad for the 02 sensor to drive the car with the gauge not being powered? Im getting kind of sick of having my instrument cluster lit up during the day when I dont need it to be, and I can still read my boost gauge with the lights off. Any one know? turbobrick
the sensor will be fine without power going to the gauge, but its not a big deal to wire it
JMK33
...everything is all hooked up and has been for almost a year now...Someone mentioned that it could be bad for the sensor/gauge if there was no power to it when the car was running
Oreo931
Someone mentioned that it could be bad for the sensor/gauge if there was no power to it when the car was runningIts the other way around. Its bad for the sensor if the gauge is on but the car isnt running.Mine is wired into the light switch. So its off unless I have my fogs or headlights on. Been like that since I got it. No problems.

No problems. My innovate LC-1 manual states the sensor will get damaged if it is run unpowered (unheated) in the exhaust stream. So I doubt that's the way to go.
