Uhhhh hmmm you need a AWD passenger shaft for that to work and it should work if you use the right drive shaft

I will have a extra one in two weeks lol I might have a extra one upstairs that or just order one from Raxles and send them yours back lol dont know if you will get the correct core chage thou.

And why are you putting in a AWD tranny with out the bevel grear and the AWD ? I am confused

we're not trying to go AWD with this, we just want to swap trannys (old one is blown)... They are both AW55-50SN, they just have different differential setups on the right side...

I know for sure you will need a AWD drive shaft and you might need the bevel gear also ?

but might though before but never got around was getting rid of that shaft that comes out of the tranny and then using a standard drive shaft and you will also need a new axel seal on that side also since the shafts are different diameters.

I have a bevel gear and drive shaft but again wont be till next week and your looking at around $500+ for both .

Now I think about it you may want to try simply swapping over the torque converters and the valve bodies. This may be the issue with your tranny. Talk to Nick as I mentioned in my PM. He should know more.

Torgue coverters are the same in both cars , shoot they might be the same in all volvos for that fact or at least bolt up the same not saying they will work.

the main issue is in the AWD trannys theres a sleave that pushes into the Bevel gear wich the FWD dont have .

I view that if you can get that sleave out and get a new Axle seal you should be able to use it.

I havent had time to prove that threry yet.

yep, thats exactly what we're going to try...

as for swapping valve bodies and torque converter... thats a thought, but god wouldn't it suck if the problem remained after putting it all back together...

or maybe its just time for an AWD c70....

well if you need the rest of the AWD parts I have them on my car and I am getting rid of them so :)

all parts have 120,000 on them how about $1000 for everything from tranny back :)

thats bevel gear, drive shaft and the whole rear axle with nimovats will even throw in the AWD R TCU ( ECU is going to my cousin )
