SkyWriter
at some point i thought i saw a write up on someone that made a good attempt at this (i certainly recall the resister drilling link from liquidkernel)i would like to see how some people did, what to look out for and what materials to use. i bought a set of HIDs quite a while ago but waited until i had a spare set of headlights to take my time and do it right.i checked bay13, and searched for it; but came up empty.any help appreciated.btw the bulb has a plastic tube and the mount is molded as part of the base, this can't possibly left on. it would melt, at least how do you take it off with out ruining the bulb.thx! Chilled man
hole sawsnips to cut the plastic off the HIDs done takes about 20 min dont know why you need another set of headligths this is about one of the easiest mods possilby to do . cut the back of the headlight cover , the ones removable remove old bulb insert new HID bulb plug and play good thing you hate being here
JVC
The HID's are easy, but projectors I have also been wanting to do. If I get a drivers side headlight for cheap I can give it a shot because I have the passenger side one from Craigslist ($20 cant beat it).

Serge
Projectors in S80 headlights would be eaassssyyy. The lens comes off with clips, so opening the light is not a problem.. them shoving a nice projector in there (Acura TL most likely) and finishing it off with a shroud would be fairly simple. If you were to have a retrofitter do it, it would probably run you about $200-300 for the retro minus parts. JVC
The HID's are pretty damn plug and play, as said before. The little cover in the housing that blocks part of the Low beam light is still used, the only thing you have to cut is the cap on the back of the headlght so you can run the wires through it.When I get some money and get a good deal on a drivers side headlight for cheap then I will pick up some TSX projectors and get to work on them. Seems like a summer project I may undertake while my mouth is wired shut for a few weeks. We'll see what happens with all of this and who gets to doing the modification first. SkyWriter
takes about 20 minapparently you haven't tried it on an S80. a one armed blind man with his thumb sawed off has equal odds with anyone else without taking the headlights out.anyway i got to the point where i got one lit up without a problem; and it's 8K-lishish!
