Trying To Find New Bbs Rim Bolts

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I have been an a month long saga trying to locate new rim bolts for my two piece BBS Tritons. So far none of my local Nut & Bolt dealers can help and I just received an order of flange head racing bolts fromHRP when I faxed the specs of waht I have and even sent them a picture. Long and Short, only Titanium-Touch in Germany has them and their minimum order is 500 pieces. I am working on getting the price locked down. Would anyone eslse be interested in buying some or does anyone know of another stateside source?

IIRC Pras found some. I don't think they were cheap but probably cheaper than a 500 pc order. You might want to PM him or wait for him to post in this thread.

In the meantime let's put this in the right section. ;)

I heard they won't sell to nondealers, probably for liability purposes. I bet if you bought 500 you could Ebay them for a profit. Considering they take about 20 bolts a wheel 500 would really only be about 6 sets worth of bolts.

I don't know if these are the correct thread or anything but it's a start:

They're a pretty good site so they might actually be able to point you in the right direction if they can't special order something.

Unfortunetly, those are flange head bolts (like the ones HRP sent me) with E-spline drive instead of the caphead bolts with internal spline drive.

I ordered mine from Pertch and Partner, Germany, aka Titanium Touch I think so.

I ordered about 100 of them for about $150 or so....it's been a while, don't remember. I just called over there, and spoke to a guy named Thomas Schnieder....yeah, I know, there are probably 40 of those there, but he was the only one who could communicate really well with me.

I sent them a check, they sent me the bolts....got them in about 2 weeks...I ordered just the polished ones. Definitely didn't have to order 500 of them. But I know for a fact that you can sell them if you bought that many. You need 76 total for the Tritons IIRC, and I bought some for backup since they weren't really TOO expensive.

Best bet is to call and see if Thomas still works there...it's been almost 2 years since I did mine.

They just got back to me with a quote. Due to the weak dollar, one Euro is equal 1.5015 dollars. The cost shipped per bolt for Stainless Steel is $2.25 or $225.00 for 100. Would anyone be interested at that price?

Wow, that is expensive as hell! Mine were about $60 less, shipped.

Maybe you just want to order like 80 of them? That's going to knock off about $50 from the price, but you just have to be careful not to strip any as you install and torque them down.

Honestly, I would have bought them at the $225 price, just because there is really no where else to get them, and I had broken 11 out of the 76, so I needed new ones anyway.

When you have no choice, what are you supposed to do?
