smokin' T5M
Sounds like the converter is locking up and wont engage. If it wouldn't release then the car would stall when it came to a stop. Should need a new Valve body, if I recall.

Y2kV70R
Make sure they used the right (very expensive) fluid. It has to be JWS-3309 Spec. These trannys are what is called "slip lock", and if you use the wrong fluid, it will not work properly.Have they checked the selonoids? It is possible one of them took a poo...-Shane
MrWinkey
1671 as i recall is a speed sensor code I THINK? Perhaps the fault lies in the ABS module. Is the ABS light on? If so possible module fault.
Y2kV70R
That reminds me... Had the same problem when mine was rebuilt. The sensor that is used to read TRANSMISSION INPUT SHAFT speed does not like al ot of heat. When mine went it was slipping and overheated, and burned up the sensor. If you decide to replace it, don't let the dealer tell you that the AW42-LE sensor will work. It must be the sensor for the AW55-50SN (5spd)-Shane
