7 VII 7
QUOTE (Plan_B @ May 29 2008, 10:43 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Being a homo I could careless if gay marriage passes in any state, the fact that people have actually put so much thought and time into this when there are so many other things wrong in this world is really sad.And Dave, you really are a closet case, the sooner you deal with being gay the sooner your life will be a lot better, less anger ha, you think half the people on here are closet cases Numerous psychological and neurological studies have shown that there is a biological basis for homosexuality, both genetic and physiological. This is cross cultural and is even exhibited in multiple animal species and goes as far back as Ancient Greece. What is homosexual culture Dave? A limp wrist? A lisp? That's behavioral, not cultural.I was talking about the parades they have where they walk around with their privates hanging out and the point they want to make about how they want people to know they are gay and they want people to feel they know they are here.the behavioral is about why they might have a lisp or a feminine voice... is that neurological/biological also?QUOTE (matt b @ May 29 2008, 10:46 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>LOL at the comment about Adam at Justin's house! No problem with gay marriage, some peeps on here alreay know my sister is gay and has a live-in GF. Why should she not have the same rights as the rest of us.eh, i guess I am old fashion and think marriage is bound by God between a man and a woman.I do have gay friends and I do not mind them

It's more acceptable, but there are times when they do not make any physical contacts. They've had people threaten them too. I hung out with the girl swimmers which is how I met them. Nice guys and the reason I was friends with them was because they were nice and did not let everyone know they were homosexuals and try things with me.they had a lisp also and I asked why do some homosexual men have lisps... they said because thats what they do.. I LOLedoh and they believe that people are not born with the homosexual "gene" but develop it
Oreo931
Obviously I get dragged into this Thanks Charles.I don't care what other people do with their lives. Gay people getting married has no effect on me, and in my opinion they deserve every right that we have. Dave and Justin are just too "old school" I guess. Not in a cool way though .Edit: I still dont understand why the hell any of this matters to you people who are against it. Justin is angry because he thinks his tax money goes to pay for disease research "that are caused by gay people." Even if thats true (which its not), there is nothing you can do about it. Thats life and you should learn to live with it. Dave is mad b/c he thinks gay people are feminine? Thats just retarded (OOPS! NON-PC TERM IN THE POLITICAL FORUM!!). I have met plenty of gay people who you wouldnt know were gay, and who dont have lisps. Everything you said was just a generalization.

Just because you see flamboyant gay people in movies or on TV, or even some of your "friends" in person, does not mean all gay people are like that. Austin H
Well as someone with a boss that's gay, many gay friends and straight friends whom I think are gay. Let them get married if they want. If anything it has a positive effect on the world, dare I say population control? As far as tax dollars going towards disease research, do it now while labor is cheap. In 10 years or 20 years labor won't be cheaper. Just like I tell everyone to drive around all they want right now. Gas isn't getting cheaper. There is always going to be homosexuals. Let them get married so we can find another subject to fight about. Dave have you heard the saying don't knock it until you try it.

ErikS
A comment like that should be backed up w/ proof, not passed off as fact. /devils advocateOk, its all about predispositions. The APA, and AAP state there is no scientific proof that there is a biological or genetic component to homosexuality. But there is overwhelming evidence that there is a distinct biological component to sexual orientation. The same hormones, neurotransmitters, and connections in my brain that tell me I like the opposite sex are different in those that are attracted to the same sex as themselves. Most current research (we can all search wikipedia) shows significant neurological and physiological differences between gay and straight men.But as always correlation does not imply causationIt's like the personality arguement, or the alcoholic arguement, is it genetic? Is it environmental? In my experience both academic and in the real world its always a combination of both.Your genetics and biology predispose you to certain things, and your environment either nurtures or destroys those predispositions.
