NoodleKnight
Is there a way to mix 4 channels into 2? I want to make it so that no matter how much I change the fader the amp receives the same output level. Also there's no problem with just splicing the DIN output into two right? I want to connect the stock amp as well as the aftermarket one.Lastly, do female 6-pin DIN plugs exist? I can only find sockets.
mojoman
I have a female 6-pin Flug over here. Was hard to find, but THEY EXIST! Search maybe on ebay or at a shop of an electronic fixer... These Din-6-Pin connectors were something standard in 1980-1990 i think...Greet
crazykn
Sure they do:Digikey Part Number: 275-1009-NDThats a inline 6 pin DIN connector. It's $0.79 for one, but digikey likes to slap a handling fee ($5) for orders less than $25.I'm actually kind of surprised because I make and sell audio adapters and yet I haven't really looked for this inline connector and always used the sockets and shrinked wrapped around them... i'm forgetting the reason why i don't use these inline connectors (I need some sleep...) It will negate ANY fader effects from an external amp setup. (combining the outputs will affect anything on the plugs unless you want to build something more involved)If you want to retain sub levels and still be able to fade front/back get an aftermarker HU or an in-dash eq/xover.
