Zulu
Will they do chinchilla? I'm interested in redoing it most likely in suede, or just pick up R panels if they come around.

PsychoBeano
Ive said it before and Ill say it again. Greyhound! Seriously, stack them and bubble wrap them, no box needed. I want to say about $50 to ship. I got a bumper from Washington to So Cal for $40 and a fender from So Cal to New York for $40 as well. Max weight per package is 100lbs I believe. Max weight per package is 100lbs I believe.Problem is $50 is to much...we need a cheaper way...because once they're repaired, they have to be shipped back to you too.Still waiting on dimensions and total weight. Btw, the shop that was doing a "prototype" for me isn't finished with mine yet. Went to pick it up and they had a rush job that they went with before mine that involves several cars being readied for a car show this weekend. It's going to be a bit longer than I expected before I can post pictures of a finished panel. Just hold tight everyone.
MadeInJapan
My fault for initially saying, "take your time." Word is, Wed. So hopefully I'll post up some pictures of the prototype that evening.
T-5Bandit
Does anyone know what adhesive to use to reconnect the outer and inner door panel pieces? The factory stuff is green. I assume it would need to be something strong enough to withstand varying temperatures.
Ruhl98t5wag
Talk to Chris (jordanvw). He has been seperating the inserts from door panels to provide unbubbled inserts with less shipping hassles. Bought a rear from him, will be using contact adhesive to put back toghether. PhilWhat is he charging for the repairs and how much is the shipping to and from him? If his is a better deal than what I'm trying to put together we should all just go through him.Once again, the panel isn't ready...I could kick myself for saying "take your time." Now the projected date for the prototype is Monday.

Ruhl98t5wag
Yes, exactly. He's seperating the insert from the panel to save shipping, and panels are usually beat anyway. Just brought this up because he has some experience with disassembly.I think he's just selling used inserts that aren't bubbled, not repairing them.
