matt b
25k on the oil I thougt I was bad doing it ever 10k Yeah, I will see the previous owner this weekend and may have a few choice words for his lack of maintenance on the car. $2,200 in repairs and upgrades that wouldn't have happened if he had stayed on top of things, using adequate parts. erikv11
taste it, coolant is very sweet and you will know right away. There is no hazard to tasting it. Sounds like it is maybe your drain line as mentioned, or sun roof etc, not the heater core. keep your eye on the oil, check the tires before you leave, and before you head back home, and have a great trip! rp850
Last year I made a 1700 mile trip in two days and the car was just great. The car is well maintained and all went fine. If you're really concerned perhaps you could carry along a spare heater core then return it if you don't need it after the trip. Peace of mind...taste it, coolant is very sweet and you will know right away. There is no hazard to tasting it.
