Tablet Pc Experience

Recommended Posts

I bought an HP TX1000 or something like that....it's 12.1" fully loaded with the tablet and fingerprint sensor and touchscreen etc.

I love the computer, but it runs very hot, and the tablet feature is pretty cool.....i regret buying an HP only because they don't hold value. I like buying new stuff every year, and I can't really do much with mine since I paid $1800 for it last year, and now you can get the same thing for $1000 or less.

Try getting a Sony or Apple....you really have the option to sell and buy new stuff often without losing much. don't know if they make tabs though.

I can appreciate that Pras. However, the HP I have is probably from 2001 or 2 and I've been pretty satisfied with it the whole time. It's slow, old, and heavy and starting to dim out when I turn it on from time to time. I just feel the impending doom on the horizon.

Do you have any experience with Vista. I hate to switth from XP too, but it looks like that's the only option.

Tablets are amazing I wish I still had mine and I now had Vista and notice no reall difference between it and XP other then I dont have a working email :(

Well now, since I'm on the road a lot now with work and I need to have access to my Outlook, that could be a problem. Any more info on why not?

Yeah, I bought the HP fully loaded.....maximum RAM, hard drive space, speed, etc available.

I got it with Vista 64 also.....it's a nice operating system...i don't really do much with it....i use the computer to surf the internet and watch divx movies, so I'm not really using it to the max.

the only regret is that I got Vista Ultimate 64, and I should have gotten Ultimate 32 bit....there isn't much software support for 64 bit processing....alot of software isn't compatible with 64 bit.

I don't know how fast things are changing on that line, but I'm sure software is becoming more and more compatible with 64 bit Vista.....

I was debating about sticking with XP too, but I figured that I want to get the newest stuff out, because whether I like it or not, it's going to be the standard eventually.

I'm looking to replace my laptop HP ZE5170 with a tablet. I'm looking at an HP TX2xxxZ. Does anybody have any experience with these or preferences to share?

Why not get a high end mobile and keep the laptop?
