I'm thinking this crap is getting old so I'm gonna retint. I remember a few guys saying I could tint the windshield 60-70% and it wouldn't affect my visibility at night, but I could do the rest at the legal limit and it would have the same effect as a dark tint. He put the tint meter on and it registered 6% on the front and 5% on the rear. Tintlaws.com says the legal limit in KY is 35% on the fronts, 18% on the rears and back window, and it says tint is allowed on the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line, whatever that means. I imagine you can get away with much lower than the legal limit, but mine is 5% all around and being that I've been pulled over twice for it, I probably need to change it.What about:70% windshield30% fronts20% rears/back?I've seen a few Mustang GT convertibles with windshield tint and it looked awesome with the top down. My top doesn't come down (it comes up haha), but it would still look nice. I don't wanna do a big difference on the fronts and rears since a noticeable difference between the two looks silly, IMO. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Oh and BTW we changed spring seats and the squeaking did not go away. I can't see jack **** out the front sides at night. I just don't wanna pay the ticket. I could swear someone on here recommended a light tint on the windshield though. It certainly looks good, but you seem to want to get away from the attention you're getting from the police. Definitely ditch the tint and anything around 20-35% all around will look good.
