Guest Guest_Adam_*
I recently purchased a 12" L7 Kicker with a Kicker 06ZX750.1 Amp. After installing everything, the bass of the sub is extremely weak, the AMP becomes heated after minutes of play, and there is a distinct smell as well. Are these signs of a blown sub or could it be incorrect wiring. I tried hooking up a friends same exact sub to my setup and the sub sounds perfect. The only reason I am confused is because I just bought the sub from a reliable online source. Any Tips?

Y2kV70R
You have your two voicecoils wired out of phase.... Fix it before you fry your sub. When the voicecoil is not moving, it is not getting cooled, and will overheat and burn up.-Shane
