Maybe it isn't my place to interject this, but not speeding costs a lot less and doesn't require expensive equipment I go 55mph in a 55mph zone and get 31-32mpg (93 octane); I go 80mph in a 55mph and I probably drop to mid-low 20's in fuel economy, end up with pricey tickets/points against my license/jacked insurance premiums, or I can buy expensive equipment and flirt with disaster? I don't think it's that terribly difficult of a decision.

Not trying to be condescending or "told-ya-so", just saying, it's cheaper and safer. I can leave 5 minutes early, drive the speed limit, and get there the same time someone else did who piddled around then exceeded the speed limit en route.

Hell, at 49 you'd think I would know better myself. However, you can;t always be doing what you're supposed to be doing. I can;t drive 55. It puts my ass to sleep. It ain't about the money or the $208 I spent in July last year would've fixed me and the $224 I'm about to spend would've as well. It's the game. You can sit on the porch and watch or you can play.

I do hope however, that you're not one of the "challenged" idiots that rides in the left lane while practicing your restraint. Those people are dangerous.

SWEET. This ZR4 has paid for itself 3 times in the last two days. The look on the cops face when he pulls a no-go on me is priceless .

This morning the very same cop that gave me my fast driving award two months ago triggered laser on me again and just stared at me as i passed him. Pulled out and nailed the guy chasing me instead. This shifter really works.

I would normally agree with, "you knew you were speeding, pay the fine and dont oh yeah! about it". But

Atlanta has a speed limit of 55 throughout the highways, when NO ONE goes 55. If one does go 55, its pretty much an endangerment to everyone else because of the crazy merging to avoid said idiot going 55. When they do give tickets, they can fine you for the 25+ over the speed limit. Its all a money game.

A couple years ago a bunch of GA tech students went 55 in a row for like 30 minutes completely blocking traffic, and leaving to a giant backup. The idea was to bring a point to how ridiculous a 55mph speed limit. It didnt work apparently.
