Demosthenes
So my check engine light has been on for a few months now, i got the codes read, and the code is P0455. i know that i should have just taken it in and gotten it checked out, but i didnt. anyways, today when i first started the car, the engine was idling at about 150 rpms lower than it normally idles at. The second time i started my engine today, it drove for a little while, then the check engine light started blinking, and the little computer that shows my Mpg, average speed, etc, read : Emission System Service Required. when this happened, i lost a good amount of throttle response, and when i acellerate so that it goes above 2500 rpm the engine starts shaking pretty violently and the car sounds pretty weird also. I checked the belts and they are fine i didnt think that was teh problem as it only shakes at a certain rpm. i would appreciate any and all help in this matter. smokin' T5M
When the C.E.L. flashes it means a misfire in the system. What year is the car obviously it's P2. I don't know what the generic P0455 means. I'm a VST/VIDA guy. Coils go bad, in which case I would do plugs at the same time. I would have the ETM checked as well depending on the year of the car. For now sounds like you need maintenance.C.E.L. = Check Engine LightVST = Volvo Scan Tool
