STiKiller04R Posted June 29, 2008 Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 lately my car has been acting up when i start, first it will turn over then start bog down once or twice then be fine, today tho it turned over for aboout 3 seconds then started ( that was after driving very hard for about an hour) the voltometer looks good and i dont think its the starter any ideas thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

smokin' T5M Posted June 29, 2008 Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 Any kind of smoke from the tailpipe on start up preferably black would indicate too much fuel on start up. I would suggest checking rest fuel pressure and running pressure to see if maybe you have a bad pressure regulator. Check out the air mass as well make sure it reads at about 13-16 Kg/h at idle with a/c off. I know this involve a scan tool with monitoring features, but it could be screwing up as well, while you at it see if there are any codes too.
