since when compression test became such a fragile job that normal volvo dealership can't run simple thing like compression test?

it has nothing to do with how fragile or easy the test is, it has to do with how careless and useless some dealers are.

I think we all know what the dealer is going to say.

Dealer: "Hey, sonny boy, your car's bad, why don't you take a look at one of these new C30s over hear, I can get you a great deal on your trade..."

Baker: "Oh, really, gee that's nice of you. Sure! Where do I sign?"

HERE ARE THE RESULTS

compression numbers:

162 160 155 155 153

Here are the leakdown numbers (baker said blowby numbers?)

2% 9% 10% 10% 2%

Also-

The timing was off by two notches on the exhaust cam

Thats all I know.

I am going out now for a bit. Discuss

okay, so after reading about those, they seem normal.....Baker should get one more test done somewhere independent though just for peace of mind.

Shouldn't they be higher? Stock is supposed to be higher and this engine has higher compression pistons?

also reading that lower compression, but okay leak numbers could mean timing is off a bit, which was also found.

no, these pistons were stock compression pistons from Wiseco....if anything, after overboring, the compression might have dropped a bit.

someone get charles or greg or someone in here to tell us what those numbers mean.

R-sports, at least mine, were higher then stock t5.

yeah, when you ordered them, you should specify what compression you want....mine were stock 8.5:1, as were most of the others they were sending out....if you didn't specify, they sent you 8.5:1

Looks to me like some people jumped the gun in this thread a little bit with crucifying Boomin. Looks like the only person Baker really hurt besides Boomin was himself by giving his car a stigma which will make it near impossible to sell.

I didn't specify and was told they were 9:1.
