mbaker Posted July 1, 2008 Author Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 I thought Mike's car was working fine with that engine in there....he even drove it for a few months...i don't know, but I know that there was some issue with R-Sport and the piston sizing....i didn't have that issue with the pistons, but Mike and someone else might have....i know there was the issue with the rodsi don't know what happened with the trans...i thought the original mbaker trans was bad, so mike had to do the swap again?...that's the last i heard...nope my trans was fine i called my mechanic back home and talked to him about it and he said there is no way what happened could have been my trans mike messed it up and then charged me for what he did. mike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What's your integrity worth?He probably broke the pump in the trans when he installed the trans, not having the converter installed correctly.As for the pistons, any good machine shop would measure the pistons before machining the block. You don't just tell the machine shop you're going .020 over and drop the block off. Somebody really dropped the ball on that one.I think the problem is in the ring gap. If they were too tight, it would have stuck a piston by now and it they were too loose it would rattle like a diesel when cold. Needless to say it would have been really obvious. Mogatu'r Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 Now my turn,...Mike (Boomin) made me look like a damn fool, and had everyone thinking that I was a scam artist about 3 years ago; I offered and offered help and advised him NOT to buy a car w/o seeing it first, I offered him to pick him up at the airport and a stay in my apt. He refused and got stuck with "supposedly a POS car" then he blamed that stuff on me. For a while everyone on this board thought that I was ripping him off or a scam artist, now how the monkey could I be a scam artist; when I gave him, my cell#, my Work #, work address, home address. And yet he still refused. After he had the car in Cali, I felt terrible and again I offered help. He ignored the calls and my e-mails, on one PM, he refused and asked me not to ever contact him and that I was an idiot.Funny how all that time people actually believed the BULL$HIT he fed people, but NEVER showed anyone my PM's or e-mails. ONE member on this board has seen all the e-mails I sent him. Mike- I dont wish anything bad to anyone, just come out and explain yourself; just like I did, and paid my dues with proven integrity. For as long as you stay quiet, no one is going to believe you. Mike Baker - feel really bad for your situation, believe or not I was the one who followed your car from 2 auctions and found it finally whithin 10 mins from my office, here in Houston. What clearances were you running?[/threadjack]The original builder said they thought the 'spec' that the instruction told them to go with was too much. They called both Wiseco and the ring manufacturer and were told to go with the spec. I have no idea what that is or was. I heard the noise the first or second night of the engine break in and was losing quite a bit of oil. All I really have is this:Builders fault.
