PsychoBeano
Ay yay yay. Since I have to be abundantly clear, Baker did not think he would need new oil or coolant. Transmission fluid is different. It is pretty common knowledge that when you put NEW fluid in a slipping transmission, you risk the chance of toasting the tranny. If it had been known that the transmission could have been the problem, the fluid would have been reused. Either way it was going to get new oil and coolant. Now please, I must get back to Guitar Hero, lol.

prasamin
I want to see those compression numbers too....what did the dealer do to diagnose that the engine was put together incorrectly? i'm just curious here....maybe they are wrong and it could be something simple....who knows. Mattphi
Quoted for poking truth. I couldn't have said it better. Bottom line is, what's done is done. I LOL at Baker looking for legal action, what a waste of money. Everything was sold as is, no warranty, etc.and I LOL at you for coming on here and just brushing the situation off of you shoulders. Your friend fucked up...thats the bottom line. Hes a scam artist trying to make a buck from anyone he can. This thread makes me sick, thinking that someone could fuck over a fellow enthusiast so bad...and not give two shits about them.I hope no one does business with this joker from this time out. If it hasn't already, someone needs to link this thread over the SS and TB.

The closest truth to that is you can damage the valves and pump if you use a high pressure flush machine. Which is why most machines use the internal pressure to flush the system.LOL @ no pizza for joo. If you didn't get paid take it up with mike, retard, ups broke it mike, not baker, because he was. And I doubt baker didnt think he needed new fluids. He probably just assumed since he just paid 5k for a used engine and install you guys would take care of it. And I don't care how sleepy and pizza deprived you were. That didnt make the ring gap grow.

mbaker
ok let me just put this down, for paying as much as i did why should i have to buy food? i got mike lunch a day becasue i knew i wasnt going to beable to buy dinner. i also did buy all the fluids needed before we started the car so all that was on me. and i have no numbers i was just told the motor is fucked, the bottome part of the motor was put together using silicone and from what i am told you cant do that with these motors so it had to be leaking when he had the car and there is no way in hell you can drive a car for 10k and not know there is something wrong with it. he knew damn well what he sold was bad and neglectd to tell me. there is no way in hell trat driving it "hard" could have caused the damage that is there no way not on a built motor. and how do you know i was WOT? were you in the car? were you driving? no i have a load ass exhaust and its a quick car i wasnt pushing it becasue i was told there was mostly water in the coolant system (wich is fine) and also i didnt want to break down on the side of the road because the motor is a POS. there was enough coolant/water in the sysytem and the reasn it was over heating was due to the cooling fan relay was bad. the coolant was leaking from the fire wall where where the heater core is, he told me about the problem before hand and said he was going to fix it and didnt. the rear motor mount was kinda just sitting there and not bolted on (the volvo dealership did that for me) and lets see if i can remember where oil is leaking from... ohh yea the front... the back... and both sides... ohh wait and the cam seals... ohh wait the motor is leaking oil from everywhere. it would cost me $4000 just in labor to hve this issue fixed i am not spending money on this car to have any type of tests done due to no money (becasue of this stupid ass motor) and also becasue i already no its ducked. and as for the trans as i said to mike (keep in mind i am no mechanic) i thought th trans was slipping but my mechanic who i trust more than anyone out here in this crap state said it was something eles and replaced it and since then everything has been fine. PsychoBeano i thank you sooo much for alll of your help with everything that weekend and im sorry there was no way for me to repay you for how much you did but i did not ask for your help, not to be a dick but i have helped out not being asked to before with stuff just to help and do something. also when you take your car to the mechanic you dont buy him food or beer or anything you expect everything to be done why?!?! becasue you are paying damn good money for it. and as for wasting money on legal services? you forget im in the navy and i get it for free? yea so all i wanted to get at with this thread is that mike is selling/has sold some stuff that is not in good working order. if anyone wants to see any of the pms bettween me and him about the install is included, the trans that he will give me if mine doesnt work or anything like that let me know and i will pull them up. mike
