I have been thinking about flat black for my 850. Has it been done? The car needs a paint job, so either stock (white) or flat black.

the whole car; flat black? well, use some Sears Puerto Rican Chrome spray paint for the wheels and it'll look mint. maybe they don't sell it anymore, air shocks and side pipes went out of style in the 80's. but a big skull and cross bones on the hood would turn some heads.

Wow, aren't you just a happy character. Coming from a S80 owner. WOW just WOW

I think there is an issue with the matte finish holding up over time. You could paint it gloss and have it wrapped by a vehicle wrap installer with matte

pressure sensitive laminate, but it would cost some big bucks.

If you clear coat flat it become gloss.

yeah but would it still look flat up close or just look like ass ?

I want something that is silver but different , and I think the flat would look great but just from paitining my rear bumper and not clearing it , it always looks like crap

hot sex

The above looks like Alsa paint. Its an additive that is sprayed on before you clear a car. It runs about 300 dollars for enough for one car. RE matt paint with clear over it, it will look exactly like normal high gloss paint.
