GTGLT
So a few weeks ago I installed my boost gauge and have noticed the boost comes on very irregularly. Idle vac is good (15-20 inHg), WOT peaks at around 6-7 psi, but casual driving around town makes the needle jump around. On a recent trip to the mountains, I would be going up a steady, straight incline holding the throttle steady (not accelerating) and the boost would jump back and forth like: 0-3-1-4-0-2. I can definitely feel it in the car as it jumps back and forth but I always thought this was just a motor/tranny mount or a rough transmission, that is until I installed the boost gauge and noticed this.Is the obvious answer my boost control solenoid? Thanks.BTW: 1999 V70 LPT FWD w/ 120K
GTGLT
Would this be better in the Performance section?
rynodyno312
Try replacing the BCS, they are fairly cheap and w/ 120k miles it's probably not a bad idea even if it's not your main problem.
