bmx9854
I was working on my turbo 850 (which is off the road) and I had just finished putting the blanking plate on, by the way do I need a gasket for that, and when I went to start it the gauges bounced a little then went upto the proper marks. The radio worked, the lights worked but when I went to start the car....nothing. I tried using a fully charged jump pack with no results. The only other thing I had done to the car in the mean time was put in leds in the dash. Is there any possibly way that I may not have fully connected the harnesses back into the gauges cluster which could be causing this? And I double checked all the fuses. Thanks

NoodleKnight
I believe you do need some sort of gasket or seal between the blanking plate and the turbo housing. What do you mean by your gauges are bouncing? Can you describe what the car is doing when you are starting? Do you hear a loud click in the engine bay? Trans is in Park?
