Livvakt
Soooooo...... Yeah. Blew a fuse this evening, and it happened to be the one for the amp/radio/etc. Swapped it out, no biggie, turn the car on, and it asks me to input the security code. Here's where it gets wonky.I snag the little card out of my owner's packet thing, and in VERY CLEAR numbers it says "004235". I figure it has to be the non-zero numbers, so I enter "4235". It asks me to repeat it, I enter it two more times, and lo and behold, it locks up... as it's supposed to if it has the wrong code. Thing is, it's the RIGHT code. The one that came with the car.... I wait two hours (was out with some friends, so it wasn't that big a deal), go back to the car, figure maybe I cocked it up somehow. Same thing, same results.WHAT. THE. FUCK.... Is there a default code I can use, or what's the best way to go about this situation? I rather enjoy having, you know ,music, lol...Thanks in advance guys!

--Aaron--
Thanks for the recap. Sorry. One more suggestion, gather other opinions on your code. One of my local dealers said 3539 and the other 4115, both were pulled looking up my VIN but only the 4115 works.PS Don't come steal my radio now that you know my secret code.

Tried the 4115, no bueno. How did you input the number 9? AFAIK you could only use numbers up to six... (inputting the numbers using the six preset buttons.) They say 4115 and it works.I asked Stadel they say 3531, that does not work.I was just curious as to how, both looking the codes up w/ my VIN, I got 2 different results.I think these places are out to get me. Jippi 855 GLT
i usually just walk into the dealer and put the radio on the table with the vin and they gave me the code to the car but since the car was replaced with a remaned unit it was wrong. they called volvo HQ and got the right one with in the hour. --Aaron--
that would probably explain being told 2 different codes.....the reman'd unit
