notatdi
I have an alpine 9881 HU with the ipod interface cable. After operating the ipod for awhile (sometimes .5hr, sometimes .75 hr.) the ipod interfave drops off and the only way to get it to work again is to physically disconnect the ipod from the interface cable and start over. The ipod is an older 4g mini. I am of the opinion that the issue is with the head unit,I have tried the ipod with ither car stereo interfaces(jvc) and other alpines nd it does not drop off.I updated the apple software in the ipod also, so I am not sure. HU, interface cable? Any thoughts? Thanks

rexford310
i've had the 9885 for a bit over a year now and i've never had any problems with it. when was the last time you updated your ipod software?
Mahi
I have the CDA-9887 hooked to both a iPod or iPhone depending on which one is more up to date. I haven't seen that happen on either, I have gotten a Error 01 message but thats usually because the iPod was off, rebooting, or something like that.
