Chilled man
The way I see it is:I drive a Volvo, a luxury car, keeping with the luxury theme, SQ complements quite nicely. If you want SPL, get a CRX, Panda or 2 door Explorer, otherwise stay away from my car. Secondly, I value my hearing. Thirdly, SQ installs are rarer in these parts than my car is (I have only seen 2 850/V70s). Fourthly, I buy things for my own and friends (when they are with me) enjoyment, not for the person driving beside me or somebody on a sidewalk. And lastly, who would want to steal a SQ setup?I may come off as a bit elitist/stuck up in this post, but this is just the way I feel about the subject. Shoot I think the person trying to steal that one will throw there back out
bdimag
theres nothing wrong with being an audiophile, no need to explain yourself...hell, i'm about to drop ~1500 worth of shit in my car... and thats just 4 speakers and an amp...that box does seem a little big though - is it up to spec with what is recommended for the sub? or did you just build a large box?and lastly.. to answer your question... anyone who steals would LOVE to steal a SQ setup, because SQ means big $$$... ChasB
Yeah, I dropped about $1200, but nothing has brand names on it and nobody around here is into SQ. The box is built to spec of the woofer and to the cabin acoustics.

ChasB
I'm in the Estherville area, go to school in Fort Dodge. There is somebody that lives by Fairmont, MN, that has a V70 XC and a teacher that lives in the Algona area that has a non-turbo v70 (I think). I have seen a few in Ft. Dodge, an 850 sedan, a S80, a silver XC70 and a black V70. Still, that's only 6 Volvos compared to hoards of domestics I've seen. :P
