ovlov780t
Wrong good sir. They are not interchangeable between S/V. S and V are flatter, C is more curved. I went through this when I broke my sunroof glass 3 months ago. P/N are different. They are not the same glass

They are not the same glassyou are right, the part numbers are diffrent, 9152097 s/v 70, 8614279, c70. but, for what its worth, mine got broken in my 99 s80, and i had a used one from a 2000 c70, and i bolted it right in, fits like a glove, no problems with it at all. thats why i believed they all interchanged. i didnt look the part number up for a p2 glass, maybe its the same as a c70?Tim ChildersVolvo Of Hickory
Yellow95
I am going to have to side with Tim here. I have seen an 850 sunroof and a c70 sunroof laid side by side and they are identical.Gary
jroot
So they may not be the same glass but are they the same assembly that moves the glass?
mr. volvo
So they may not be the same glass but are they the same assembly that moves the glass?i believe they are. having many of them out of these cars, i see no real fundamental diffrences in them. the lids seem the same to me as well, although the part numbers differ. Just my .02, based on my observations and experiences with them.Tim ChildersVolvo Of Hickory

jroot
I guess the next question is, will I be able to install the sunroof myself? I'm very capable of doing car work (I've done as much as a manual conversion) but I'm a little worried about how I'll get the old sunroof out and new one in the car...also removing the headliner too.Do I need to have the front windshield removed? or can I squeeze it out through the wide doors?- Jay
