Its on mid-way lane behind Y-12 FCU. Its been there for longer than Ive owned Volvo's(got our first in 92? maybe?). The newest owner, Ryan Jones, is awesome. Great prices, knows his stuff and is the most reasonable shop around, be it Volvo, Lexus, Chevy, Ford whatever.

The last time I had mine in there, It was when my gas tank started leaking, Ryan had the hose there the next day, and he even wired up my APEXi-AVC-R for me,(it was his first time ever adding any type of Boost controller, manuel or electric) and did a great job. He comes in every Saturday to try and catch up. Im glad to have him as a tech, so much Im putting his shop name on the back window of my car.

865-482-6880. Ive never had a bad experience with him, anyone in the area should use him, unless you like paying too much.

The service dept refused, at first, to install them because they couldn't be "Volvo" parts because they were too cheap (left the invoice in the box).

i called up the dealer prior to loading my car on a dolly, and taking a ride. I bring the car to the dealer last night (on Mason avenue in Daytona), leave it over night as the service manager has asked of me to do. i show up this morning to discus the issue of the said vehicle, the manager has not yet had the chance to come and look at the car so he went out with me, he tells me in this sluggish manner to pop the hood, so i do as he has asked. as i explain to him that i have no spark and one plug has been taken out of the 5th cylinder still plugged in to the wire to check for spark, he says to me, "No i cant take this car, I cant work on other peoples mistakes and their half ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD'ed attempts to fix their cars, i dont want your business,im a service manager here, and i am also a partial owner of this family business and you are going to have to take your car elsewhere, get it off my parking lot" all the time he was saying this he had this smirk and belittling smile.

i understand that some places may not like to work with cars that had exposed wires everywhere, and not knowing where to start, but i only had a missing spark plug and a terminal disconnected off the battery. there was no excuse for that kind of tone.

needless to say i was content with the 105$ per hour charge for service, but after dealing with this A-hole (excuse my lack of a better word) this is not a place i would ever want any of my vehicles even looked at knowing that their customer service rapport building is so poor. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone.

Once I told them I was going to buy a yellow 95T-5R wagon they were thrilled and showed me around their service area and facilities. I didnt buy the car from them. When I brought it in for a 44pt inspection the rumour must of spread and all the service techs were waiting to check out my car. They allowed me in the service bay so they could show me any faults with my car. I had to revisit them after 2 weeks as they put a tracer dye in my A/C and they took me right in without having an appointment or waiting. I will not hesitate to take my car back to them as they have some 'enthusiasts' who work for them. They seem expensive for parts & labour so I will seek an indie for any major work, but for regular maintenance & service-Tampa volvo. I rate them 10 and only time will tell if they keep it up!!

I spoke with the gentleman over the phone and he called me when the job was done. When I set out to find the shop I really felt like I had driven out into the middle of nowhere. When I pulled in to the shop location I was greeted by a multiple-acre Volvo junkyard (hence the used parts listed above). The parts and labor listing comes directly from the invoice given to me by the shop. I also asked for an estimate on a valve guide seals/head gasket job and was given an estimate of $750.00 to $800.00.

I strongly recommend anyone in the Middle TN area give Mr. Long a call.

For every major repair we have gone there first because we live in Lexington, Later we have to go to Louisville to Tafel Motors and they will fix the problem every time. Thus we have learned go to Tafel first. We actually gave Quantrell a chance to sell us a Volvo first, again a condescending, pushy salesman would not take my wife and I seriously probably because we are young. Thus, he lost a sale by "pre-qualifying" his buyer. Both my wife and I make six figure saleries, but when we go to car dealerships we dress very casually so we will not be over patronized.

From a first glance I thought I had a Battery light on, on the dash lights, but after a conversation with the nice guy in the service department, and his knowledgeable suggestion that it was a common mistake to mis-read the low-coolant light as a battery light, I went back and had a second look at it and indeed he was correct.

All things considered, he was knowledgeable, both of the car's likely problems, and likely solutions.
