Lets me wander around in his work area if I need to see something. I noticed a brake line twisted (by an indie mech) and he just unbolted the caliper and turned it around once to untwist the line. I don't think it took him more than a minute. And no, no extra charge either.

Not a huge selection of parts, many items have to be ordered and show up later in the week or next week depending on when ordered. Always try to talk to Jake. He seems sympathetic to guys doing their own work and may give a better price.

I spent much time doing research before I purchased the car and was a little worried that the car was purchased at an auction. In doing a title search I found that the car was only registered by one other owner. When I purchased the car they did everything I specified in terms of service for free. I've had a few other things done under warranty (3rd party)..O2 sensors, headlight wiper motor. I've also had a small oil leak fixed and a few other things (tyranny flush). Borton's service department never has done any work before getting my approval. I use Borton for things covered under my warranty and an independent shop for general maintenance (e.g. 60K, 70K service). My car has had very few problems, which I think speaks well for Borton's used inventory (not that 1 car speaks for the whole lot).

Tom

Rating: 10

Comments: Very very experience with the part department, overall cheapest price I could get via mail order dealer and very fiendly + knowledgeable part staff.

They wouldnt even align them for free after I PAID for a new lens, charged me 30 bucks for him to adjust the height on a garage door ( i saw them do it) i had been expecting a laser alignment system, when i protested they did nothing. Some of the poorest most incompitent service that i have had done. VCNA is getting a letter on this one. These people do a disservice to the volvo name.

As usual they are a little pricey, regarding Volvo repairs, and since I have two they get some business from me, mostly for service parts. Jason the service manager met me one time and remembered my name and my car. Clinics in the spring and fall let them go over owners cars and catch things before they become problems. Every car is run through a touch free car wash before being returned to the owner. Even my 1986 240 gets washed before I get it back. It is a family operation and second in the zone for service satisfction only to their sister store in Wichita, Ks. Also I think they are somehow affiliated with Superior Volvo in Kansas City. I would recomend this dealership to anyone wanting to purchase or service their Volvo, they have customers from all over the state, and South Dakota, too.
